This beautiful house was built by a local architect on classical Italian in accordance with up-to-date anti seismic techniques well above Costa Rican Standard.

The house has an extremely strong armature of steel beams and columns deeply anchored into the ground, which supports reinforced concrete floors.  The walls are made of ferrocement panels on the outside and f wet rood gypsum panels on the inside, with a substantial gap between the two sets of panels. About the area:

Punta Islita is a pristine beach located on the Nicoya Peninsula southwest of Playa Carrillo in the Costa Rican Pacific Coast. The area is accessible by land or by local flights using Nature Air. The drive from Liberia (Daniel Oduber) International Airport takes about 3 to 3.5 hours, and from San José is about 4.5 to 5 hours. The local flight takes around 30 to 45 minutes and you arrive to the Corozalito airstrip, which is about 10 minutes away to Punta Islita town.

Punta Islita is actually two small secluded beaches, Islita Beach and Corozalito Beach. These two beaches are situated between Camaronal Beach and Bejuco Beach. The road that connects Punta Islita with Corozalito is very picturesque, crossing a waterfall on the road, scenic views of the ocean and cattle farms. Punta Islita beach is less than a mile long and it lies in a small cove. It is watered by two streams that form estuaries. Corozalito is slightly larger and has a beautiful mangrove swamp.
